About Maureen :

Before I made aliyah in 2004, I ran four half marathons and several other races. I'm part of an informal group of athletes world wide who call ourselves "Penguins," since we waddle along at our own pace and run, walk, etc. because we enjoy it... even if we're not fast.
I've recently made some major lifestyle changes, and I'm ready to run again. The Jerusalem Half Marathon will be my first race in Israel.


About Sderot:

When the Color Red signal goes off to warn people a rocket is on the way, they have about 15 seconds to find shelter. Several times a day, I stop and mark 15 seconds on my watch in relation to what I am doing, and try to figure out how far I could get in that amount of time. People should not have to live like that, but the people who do are heroes and deserve our support.
