My name is Randi and i made aliyah 7 months ago. I grew up in Queens NY. I am working in fundraising in Idt. Im starting college next next semster and majoring in education.


About Sderot:

On monday March 3rd 2008 I went down to Sderot with a friend to volunteer. The first hour I was there I walked around and everything seemed so normal. We were waiting to find out what we could do to help, when there was a code red and everyone ran down stairs to stay safe. We all stayed quit until we heard the boom of the rocket hit the ground. Then we ran upstairs to see what needed to be done.
I went from door to door in a certain neighborhood to make sure everyone was okay. The people we spoke to were so shooken up and scared for their lives. Most of us sit around our houses and are not scared that a rocket will fall and hurt someone close to us. Some days these people are to scared to leave their houses. There is not much that we can do to help when we are so far away.
So when a friend of mine told me about a 10k run on march 27th in Jerusalem to help the people of Sderot I was in.
100 percent of the donations will be sent to the families in sderot, so please help these people in Sderot.
