Shlomit and Amichai Becker

About Shlomit and Amichai:

Shlomit and Amichai are mother and son, who made aliyah in 1992 when Amichai was just 4 months old. Amichai will be 16 next month. They live in Beit Shemesh. Shlomit has ran a few half marathons over the past few years, and ran her first marathon in 2006 in New York City. Amichai ran the Jerusalem 10k last year, and is now running his first half marathon. They enjoy sharing the activity of running together.


About Sderot:

We have heard daily for the last 7 years of rockets hitting our Israeli town of Sderot. As we go on with our lives, our fellow citizens of Sderot live in constant terror. How a government can let its people live this way is unbelievable, and as citizens of Israel we often feel helpless.
We hope that in running to raise funds for the people of Sderot we will help them to go on, and to know that we have not forgotten about them and support them.
We look forward to the day when they can go out and walk and run in their streets without fear.
