Run For Sderot

Joshua Kulp

About Josh :

I took up triathlon and running about a year and a half ago, and since then I have become quite addicted to the sport. I have participated in triathlons in Israel and in the U.S and this summer I am signed up for my first 1/2 Ironman race, to take place in New Hampshire in August. In addition, I'm signed up for the NYC Triathlon, so I'll get to swim in the Hudson , ride up the West Side Highway and run in Central Park .
In the rest of my life, I teach Talmud at the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem and I have a PhD in Talmud from Bar-Ilan University . Next year I will be publishing a critical commentary on the Pesah Haggadah. I also teach Talmud at the Schechter Institute for Jewish Studies. I live in Modiin, with my wife Julie Zuckerman, also a runner and triathlete, and my three children, Yadin, Zohar and Anan, who take swimming lessons, ride their bikes and try to run away from me as much as possible.

About Sderot:

Living in the center of the country it is too easy to forget how difficult life has become for our brothers and sisters in Shderot and other cities suffering from Arab terror. It is my belief that all people, regardless of their nationality or ethnicity, have a fundamental right to live in peace and security.
