Ze'ev Ben-Yechiel
About Zev:
A passive-aggressive runner, prone to fits and starts and the occasional mid-race jumping-jack. During his frequent solo jogs he imagines himself breaking through the tape in various marathons after flying through the course in a blur of speed, astonishing spectators and scientists the world over. In reality he hasn't competed in a race for nearly 14 years, and for this worthy cause he will be very happy to cross the finish line in his hometown with all his body parts attached.
About Sderot:
Having lived in Israel throughout the post-Disengagement barrage of rocket fire on the South, and having visited the Sderot area and interviewed local residents as a journalist, I witnessed the abandonment of an entire regional population by its government. I am hoping that as a donor to my race participation you will be able to show the residents of Sderot that they are still very much a part of the Land of Israel and its people.
Proceeds go to the efforts of supporting Sderot
